Welcome gDitty from hopelabs.org! gDitty is a tween(9-14) friendly activity monitor that encourages tweens to do physical activities. It’s a great tool to fight the decline of physical activity in this age group. gDitty monitors a tween child’s movement, and rewards that exercise by helping them accumulate points towards free Mp3s or gift certificates to stores such as Target and Amazon. Children can also donate to their causes, which I think is a great way to raise socially responsible children.

This is not the first time someone has thought of rewarding others to do something. Companies are rewarding people for being green and recycling, and this device is a great extension of the same concept.
I cannot wait to try out the product once it is officially released. The non-profit behind this product has some other fabulous games for children dealing with cancer, autism and other maladies
