Here’s a little bit of trivia – Cantaloupes are known as “Musk Melons” in Asia. I leant something new today that cantaloupe juice can help increase appetite. Cantaloupes have a healthy dose of fiber, are rich in potassium (helps prevents kidney stones) and vitamin c.
This combination of cantaloupe and banana makes a very creamy and a delicious tasting Zoku or frozen pops. If you are new to this blog – Zoku is a machine that makes frozen pops in 5-7 minutes. These recipes can be used with any mold to make yummy refreshing frozen pops.
I took equal parts of cut cantaloupe and banana pieces and pureed them together. I filled the Zoku machine with the fill line first and then put in the stick as this mixture is a little thick. This little trick works majority of the time with thick mixtures or else if you pour the mixture with the stick in the machine, often the mixture doesn’t make it all the way down the machine.
The Verdict: Quite yummy! Chilled Cantaloupe always tastes delicious and makes for a healthy dessert so this frozen pop recipe is a really delicious dessert with flavor notes of bananas.
