The way my 2 year old drank this milkshake will be etched in my memories. I had poured the milkshake to photograph it for the post and by the time I came back to the kitchen with the camera, my little sneaky swiper (yes we love the Dora books in our home) had swiped the milkshake glass away. I found him slurping and sipping this milkshake sitting in the corner without a care for anything happening around him. The milkshake was dripping on his clothes, he was playing with the straw, licking the drops of the milkshake off the straw, and he had his milk moustache. He was so focused on his drinking that I knew it had to taste amazing. It certainly did. I was happy that I got to watch him enjoy drinking it without him realizing that he was being observed. That one goes straight into the long term memory bank.
Kids love chocolate and they love strawberries. Why not just blend the two together and give them an incredible treat? I added Nutella to the strawberry milkshake. Have you tried it? Hmmmm… it is yummy! Made out of Hazelnut, it has no artificial colors or preservatives. It does contain sugar and palm oil-so it’s a treat and not a staple. Very popular in Europe and this Italian breakfast buddy is now widely available in the US. I get mine from Costco. Turns out the kids at my kids at my daughter’s preschool loved the drink too as I sent the batch I made for as a Valentine’s Day Treat.
