The September 2009 issue of cooking light has some fabulous recipes for cooking for 4 people for $10 dollars. They are very simple to make and cover all the food groups – carbs, protein, fruits and veggies. Most of these recipes can be made in less than 30 minutes. I really like the Chicken and Dumpling soup recipe. It looks so hearty and it will be so yummy during the colder months. A short cut for the dumplings would be to buy the frozen ones from Trader Joe’s or the local Asian store. If you don’t want to buy the frozen ones, then buy the premade wonton wrapper from a grocery store or an asian store and stuff it with your filling.
